"Sonrisas Con Amor"

Since 2002, AVANZAR has been supporting "Sonrisas con Amor", whose aim is to provide medical services to people with low incomes at affordable costs.

This clinic also undertakes other activities such as: "Open Doors Weekends" when general doctors and dentists treat people for free and "Information Activities and Workshops" to inform people about the advantages of preventive health habits, medicine, and regular medical controls.

Our support to this clinic started with the construction and furnishing of the clinic (please see list below) and has continued with yearly cash contributions primarily to pay the clinic employees.

In 2007, we coordinated the visit of the Swiss volunteer dentist, Dr. Thomas Ross. Dr. Ross treated school children free of charge while working in the clinic for two full weeks.

What have we done? We have donated following Equipment and Materials:

• Medicines

• Medical Instruments and Supplies

• 1 dental chair

• Special Halogen lamps

• 2 turbines

• 2 air compressors for the dental equipment

• Furniture (desks and chairs)

• Doors, roof, flooring, internal and external windows

• Paint for the building

• Toilette accessories
